Dear Lakeshore Parents and Students:
Welcome to a new school year! My name is Ms. Ekta Singh, and I am very excited to be teaching your child this year. I have been teaching High School and Middle School English and Social Sciences for 12 years and most recently was working at an International Baccalaureate (IB) school in the Middle East. After living and teaching overseas in Kuwait for the last three years, I am happy to be back in the Kingston community and part of Lakeshore School team.

Geography and History: Areas of Focus
This course will follow the new Inquiry based format for the history/geography units based on revised Ontario curriculum. Each unit focuses on world trends, as well as examples from Canada.
Grade 7:
- Physical Patterns in a Changing World
- Natural Resources around the World: Use and Sustainability
Grade 8:
- Global Settlement: Patterns and Sustainability
- Global Inequalities: Economic Development and Quality of Life
*Fall/winter will focus on Geography and Winter/Spring will focus on History.
