After an action packed 4th week of school and returning from our backpacking trip, week 5 proved to be a bit more normal where we really focused on school work and moving ahead in our studies. In Science, we explored satellites in the solar system, and completed an internet scavenger hunt to find out more about artificial satellites. In Language Arts, we worked on finishing our memoirs, and Ms. Singh and our peers gave us excellent feedback to complete our good copies. In Tech, we worked on our Impress Fairy Tales…they are turning out to be funny and well thought out. We can’t wait to share them!
In Social Studies, the grade 5s worked on explorer cards in Photoshop, and the grade 6s looked at inclusivity and are completing brochures on different group’s inclusivity within Canada. In Math, Ms. Van De Ven had us practicing and practicing for our upcoming quiz. This meant we worked on completing our corrections thoroughly.
Some of our classmates had the opportunity to participate in the ALCDSB golf tournament held at Briar Fox in Marysville. They showed determination and perseverance, and represented Lakeshore very well.
